Milestone sessions are for babies up to one year old. You can book a session from the time your baby is a newborn until he or she turns one year old! They grow up so fast and these are moments you want to remember.
Once you book a milestone session, I will send you a Milestones Session Guide which will help tremendously in preparing your family and new baby for your session. Within this guide, I give you tips on what to wear, how to prep your baby and any siblings, and how to prep your home if you decide to book a lifestyle session.
A new baby is such a blessing! From experience I know it can also be stressful, but I don't want you to worry about a thing when it comes to getting your photos taken. I believe it's important to capture that first year of your baby's life and I would love to do that for you! If you have any questions, feel free to ask and also check out my FAQ below. Do you offer in home sessions?
Yes I do! These type of sessions are usually called lifestyle sessions. I love these because it gives me the opportunity to capture memories not just of your family and new baby but also of your home. It's a great way to incorporate your life into your session. I usually start in the master bedroom, move to the nursery, then end up in the living room.
Do you have a studio?
I currently do not have a studio, but if you're looking for a certain set up indoors, let me know and we'll see what we could do!
Do you use wraps and props for newborn sessions?
I do have a few props and wraps that I can bring to your home if interested. We can definitely incorporate this into your session, so that you have some of those adorable swaddled images of your new baby!
When do I need to book my newborn session?
I recommend getting in touch with me and booking your session by 20 weeks. We likely don't know the exact date your baby will be here, but I prefer to do newborn sessions when babies are less than 14 days old. Baby sleeps a lot more at this age which helps when we do the session. So we will set a date near your due date and if baby comes earlier or later, it's okay! I'll have you in mind when booking sessions around that date.
Do you offer one year old cake smash sessions?
Yes I do although you are responsible for providing the cake and any decorations you want to incorporate into the sessions. I am glad to help in any way I can whether its recommending a bakery or helping choose decorations!
When do I need to book my one year old session?
Many parents want to be sure they have received their gallery and printed photos prior to their baby's first birthday party. Because of this, I recommend booking a date that is at least three weeks before the birthday party!
How will I receive my images?
Within 48 hours, I will post a sneak peek from your session on social media with your permission. Then once I have completed editing your entire gallery within 2 weeks at the latest, I will email you a link to view your online gallery. From this site, you will be able to download all of your images.
Do you use a specific location for your sessions?
No, I do not. I have a few favorites I like to use for sessions, but I am always open to suggestions! If you would like the session to be at your family's home, I'm all for it! Sometimes this makes it easier on Mom and Dad by not having to get baby out of the house.
Do you offer physical products?
Yes I do! Ordering professional products makes a bigger difference in the quality than I realized before becoming a photographer. I offer prints, canvases, and albums as an additional purchase! Albums are a great way to remember your baby's first year!
